Description
Panorama Mix is a true-to-type Monarda didyma grown from seed. Upright, branching plants carry flowers in scarlet, bright red, pink, salmon and crimson shades, making them useful as cut flowers and pollinator plants. The leaves and flowers can also be used to make tea.
Sow the seeds on the surface because they need light to germinate. Start indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost or sow outdoors shortly before the last frost, then transplant seedlings 12–18 inches apart. Cut back spent stems to encourage more flowers, and divide established plants every 3–4 years.
