Description
Pineapple Ground Cherry is Physalis pruinosa, an heirloom that tastes like pineapple. Sow 1/4 inch deep and transplant 24 inches apart after the last frost. Sprouts in 10-25 days at 75-85°F; one packet plants a 20-25 foot row.
Start indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost and feed seedlings lightly. Pick golden husked fruits from the ground fully ripe; they keep 3-4 weeks.
