Speckled Roman is an open-pollinated paste tomato developed from Antique Roman x Banana Legs. Fruits run about 3 by 5 inches, heavy and dense, red flecked with short orange stripes.
Sow 1/4 inch deep indoors 6 weeks before last frost at 70 to 85ºF. Sprouts in 7 to 14 days. Transplant after frost, 24 to 36 inches apart, planting deep for stronger roots. Indeterminate vines mature in about 81 days.
