Strawberry Blonde is a hybrid sunflower with burgundy and pink petals around dark centers tipped ivory to pale yellow on branching 5-6 foot plants. Sow 1/2-1 inch deep after the last frost when soil is over 70ºF.
We give full sun and 18-24 inches between branching plants, thinning to the strongest seedling. Sprouting takes 7-14 days at 70-75ºF; pollenless flowers still give nectar to bees and butterflies.
