Description
Vermicelli is Cucurbita pepo F1 hybrid winter squash maturing in about 90 days, an earlier, denser-growing improved spaghetti type.
After frost when soil tops 70F, sow 1/2-1 inch deep every 36-48 inches; sprout emerges in 7-10 days at 70-85F. One packet plants a 12-15 foot single row. Harvest before heavy frost when skins turn dull and resist a thumbnail dent, leaving 2 inches of stem and curing 7-10 days in sun.
