Description
Wild Elderberry is a North American native Sambucus canadensis grown for both flowers and berries for extracts, syrup, and dried tea. Set plants 3 feet apart in rows 4-5 feet apart in moist, well-drained fertile soil in full sun, with mulch and steady water until established. Roots run shallow and dislike drought.
This live plant comes in a 3.25-inch container and ships mid-March through end of April. Established colonies sucker and renew easily with late-fall or very early-spring pruning.
