MacDonald is a live rhubarb root that sends up large, vigorous, tender stalks with very good red color. Stalks suit pies, canning and freezing, and plants resist wilt and root rot.
One root per order. Live roots ship mid-March through end of April 2026. Set the root at the top of a prepared 3 x 3 foot hole filled to within 2 inches with a mix of soil, aged manure and compost, then cover with soil to ground level. Do not plant too deeply.
