Description
Hailstone is an 1800s heirloom radish grown for round white roots with small tops and taproot for close planting. Sow 1/2 inch deep, 1/2 to 1 inch apart, then thin to 1 to 2 inches apart.
Sprouts in 5-7 days in 60-75ºF soil and matures in about 25 days to tangy, pungent globes. Each packet holds 300 seeds, enough for an 18-24 foot single row with successive sowings every 7-10 days.
