Sow lightly covered after the last frost when soil is over 70ºF, a few seeds every 8-12 inches, thin to the strongest seedlings. Seeds sprout in 7-10 days at 75-85ºF. Indoors, start 4-6 weeks before the last frost and transplant 8-12 inches apart after frost. Give full sun and loose, rich, well-drained soil.
