Fordhook Giant is an old favorite Swiss chard with broad, strong white stems and large leaves packed with vitamins and minerals. White stem types stay productive longer and handle cold and bolting better than colored stems.
Sow for fresh greens from early summer into fall, year-round in mild climates. Young leaves work well in salads, and plants also glow in containers as an ornamental.
