Description
Buttercrunch lettuce grows 8 to 9 inches across, with dark green leaves around a soft center. Developed at Cornell in 1963 and rated among the best vegetable introductions, it resists lettuce mosaic virus and holds well against bolting.
Sow 1 inch apart outdoors once soil reaches 50°F, thin to 6-12 inches, and snip leaves or cut whole heads. This packet plants a 25-foot single row.
