Description
Champion of England is an heirloom introduced in 1846. Its vigorous vines can reach 8–10 feet and carry large pods filled with 8–10 peas, so the plants need a trellis or fence for support.
Sow 1 inch deep in early spring through the last frost when the soil is 50–75°F. Space seeds 1–2 inches apart, and pick pods daily once harvesting begins to encourage continued production.
