Habanada is a heatless Capsicum chinense with bright tangerine fruits and exotic tropical flavor. Start seeds 1/4 in. deep indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost in 75-85ºF soil, sprouts in 10-14 days, then plant outside after frost 18-24 in. apart.
The right-sized packet makes 2-3 in. peppers for distinctive homemade sauce, salsa or chili powder.
