Description
Jenny Lind makes 1-2 pound fruits with a turban at the blossom end and lime-green flesh. Sow 1/2 inch deep outdoors after last frost when soil is over 70ºF, 2-3 seeds every 36 inches, then thin to the strongest. Sprouts in 4-10 days at 70-85ºF.
Start indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost in individual pots to avoid root disturbance. Harvest when the skin nets heavily, the stem slips with a gentle tug, and aroma rises.
