Description
New Zealand Spinach, also called tetragone, has been grown since before the American Revolution and offers a spinach-like flavor. The large seeds germinate slowly, while regular harvesting of young leaves and tips encourages fresh growth.
Start the seeds indoors 3–4 weeks before the last frost or sow outdoors once the soil reaches 70°F. Soaking overnight or scarifying the seeds can help them sprout.
