Description
Osmin is an Ocimum basilicum variety from Switzerland selected for practically true dark maroon leaves and fragrant ornamental growth to 12-18 inches. Sow on the surface and lightly cover, keep soil at 65-70°F, and look for sprouts in 5-10 days.
After the last frost sow outdoors a few seeds every 2-4 inches and thin to 8-12 inches apart. Harvest leaves from 6-8 inch plants to keep new growth coming, and water steadily in fertile, moist soil.
