Description
Tetsukabuto is a Japanese pumpkin type, nearly round and dark green with deep yellow flesh that bakes sweet, nutty and smooth. Sow 1/2-1 inch deep and space 36-48 inches apart after the last frost when soil is over 70ºF.
Sprout comes in 7-10 days at 70-85ºF. This F1 hybrid needs a Hubbard, buttercup or butternut pollinator nearby, and tolerates powdery mildew and vine borers.
