Description
Tom Thumb Lettuce forms firm, compact butterhead heads about 6–7 inches across, with dark green leaves. Each full head makes a generous salad for one, and the plants can be grown at 2–4 heads per square foot.
Sow ¼ inch deep in soil between 60 and 70°F, keeping the seedbed moist during germination. Harvest whole heads at full size or baby stage, or snip individual leaves as needed.
