Description
Tropicana produces large, bright green heads with thick, crumpled leaves that tolerate heat well. The pelleted seeds are easy to sow, and harvest can continue by cutting whole heads or picking individual leaves.
Sow 1/4 inch deep when the soil reaches at least 50°F, keeping it moist during germination. Thin seedlings from 6–12 inches apart according to the desired head size, and make repeat sowings every 2–3 weeks for a longer harvest.
