Description
Wormwood develops woody, silver-gray fern-like foliage and tiny yellow summer flowers, reaching up to 5 feet tall. Fresh or dried sprigs can be used in wreaths, arrangements and as a moth repellent; the plant also has a long history in herbal use and absinthe production.
The packet contains 300 Artemisia absinthium seeds. Surface sow indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost or outdoors in spring or fall. Germination takes 10–30 days, and established plants self-sow readily, so cut back flowers before seed forms if spreading is unwanted.
