Description
Zucchetta Tromboncino is an Italian heirloom summer squash grown for light yellow-green slender fruit with a bulbous end. Plants form vigorous 15-foot runners that can climb a very strong trellis or sprawl with plenty of room.
Sow outdoors after the last frost once soil is warm, or start indoors in biodegradable pots to avoid root damage. Harvest young for firm, mild zucchini, or leave on the vine for large twisted winter squash. Grow in fertile compost-amended soil and keep well watered.
