Description
Mokum produces about 6-inch roots with a small core, rich sweetness and juicy texture. The roots color quickly, making them useful as baby carrots, while their flavor also suits raw eating and juicing; the plants resist Alternaria leaf blight.
Sow 1/4 inch deep from three weeks before the last frost through midsummer in loose soil. Keep the seedbed evenly moist until germination, then thin seedlings 1–3 inches apart and harvest baby roots at finger size.
