Description
Navajo Yellow is an old heirloom melon first bought at the Navajo Nation Fair. Fruit grows ribbed and round to oval with orange flesh and handles drier weather, keeping fairly well when left unbruised.
Sow 1/2 inch deep indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost or outside after frost in warm soil. Sprouts emerge in 4-10 days at 70-85ºF. Thin or transplant to 36 inches apart.
