Description
Napoli is an early Nantes-type carrot that produces roots about 7 inches long with a mild, not-too-sweet flavor. The F1 hybrid is suited to direct sowing from three weeks before the last frost through mid-summer, and one packet covers a 10–12 foot row.
Sow the seeds 1/4 inch deep in loose soil, keep the seedbed evenly moist until germination, and thin seedlings 1–3 inches apart. Harvest at finger size for baby carrots or leave them longer for full roots; late-season roots hold longer and become sweeter in cool weather.
