Red Carpet is an organic F1 hybrid long-day Allium cepa, 115 days, maturing to 3-4-inch globes. Allium seed loses vigor fast, so fresh seed each season gives the best stand.
Sow 1/4 inch deep. Sprout shows in 5-10 days at 60-75F soil. Start indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost and plant outside after frost, or sow outdoors in early to mid-spring once soil reaches 55F, thinning to 2-6 inches apart.
