Description
Romanesco is grown in Italy since the 16th century. Chartreuse buds grow in a tight upward spiral into pointed heads of florets, with a crunchy texture and a more delicate, sweet nuttier flavor than dome cauliflower.
Sow 1/4 inch deep indoors 4-5 weeks before the last frost, then grow cool at 57-68°F. Sprout in 4-10 days and set outside 18-24 inches apart in rich, evenly moist soil.
