Description
Barletta is a short-day heirloom white onion that forms perfectly round 3/4-inch bulbs for pickling, also served in cream sauce.
Sow 1/4 inch deep. Sprouts in 5-10 days at 60-75°F. Start indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost, transplant mid to late spring 2-6 inches apart, or sow outdoors in early to mid-spring, and buy fresh seed each season as allium germination fades fast.
