Description
Purple Tomatillo is a large heirloom type that turns purple after maturing and bursting its papery husk. Sow 1/4 inch deep indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Expect sprouts in 7-14 days at 75-85ºF.
Transplant after frost, 24-48 inches apart in fertile soil, with support. Ripe fruit pulls easily when husks dry and flesh feels slightly soft. Packet holds 40 seeds.
