Description
Quirk Cucumber is a compact F1 hybrid with short vines of about 3 feet and prolific crops of vivid green, white-speckled fruit. The 2–3 inch cucumbers have a refreshing, sweeter, crisper flavor and grow well in garden beds, containers or a greenhouse. Gynoecious plants produce mostly female flowers, while parthenocarpic fruit set means they can develop without pollination.
Sow 1/2–1 inch deep after the last frost when soil is above 70°F, or start indoors 3–4 weeks before the last frost. Give the vines fertile, well-watered soil and harvest fruit daily to keep production moving.
