Description
Rattail is an open-pollinated specialty radish grown for its seed pods rather than its root. Pods have a snappy texture and zesty flavor for fresh use, and plants keep setting pods through the season with regular picking.
Sow 1/2 inch deep outdoors starting in early spring. Sow a few seeds every 6 inches and thin to 12 inches apart. Sprouts in 5-7 days at 60-75F. Begin harvest at 2-3 inches long.
