Red Bull Brussels sprouts come from Europe and form 1 to 2-inch red-purple sprouts along 3-foot stalks. Flavor runs milder and nuttier than green types, sweetest picked after a few frosts.
Sow 1/4 inch deep indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost at 65 to 85ºF. Sprouts in 3 to 10 days. Set outside around the last frost, 18 to 24 inches apart, or direct sow when soil reaches 60 to 65ºF.
