Sakatas Sweet is an open-pollinated Cucumis melo with small softball-sized fruit and flesh edible down to the white rind.
Sow 1/2" deep, 2-3 seeds every 36" outside after frost when soil is over 70ºF. Sprouts in 4-10 days at 70-85ºF. One packet plants an 18-20 foot row. Trellis where space is tight.
