Description
Painted Serpent is a Cucumis melo heirloom from Armenia, not a true cucumber, with light green dark-ribbed fruits that curl snake-like. Sow 1/2-1 inch deep, 36-48 inches apart on long vines, with sprouts in 4-10 days.
Pick daily at about 15 inches to keep harvest flowing, though fruits grow 2-4 feet. Trellis for air flow and plant in fertile watered soil.
