Description
Roma is an open-pollinated Italian paste variety with small, blocky, thick-fleshed fruits. Plants are determinate and earlier than San Marzano, with rich tomato flavor that cooks down well and still tastes good raw.
Sow 1/4 inch deep indoors 6 weeks before the last frost at 75-80°F. Sprout in 7-14 days, then plant outside after frost 24-36 inches apart in fertile soil with even moisture.
