Description
Early Jersey Wakefield is an 1840 heirloom that still heads early and sure. It makes pale-green pointed heads of 2 to 4 pounds with good flavor and few outer leaves, so plants can stand close.
Sow 1/4 inch deep indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost at 65-85°F. Sprout in 7-12 days, then transplant a week or two before the last frost in fertile soil.
