Heirloom Mix is the sweet pea blend in this packet, with 20 seeds of Lathyrus odoratus. It gathers old-fashioned types in lavender, pink, purple, salmon, and white on vining 5-6 foot plants.
Sow 1/2 inch deep. Sprouts in 7-14 days in 55-65°F soil; soaking overnight helps. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before moving out in early to mid-spring, then space 4-6 inches apart, or direct sow in early spring. Blooms in 75-85 days. All parts are poisonous, not edible.
