Description
Purple Pod is a stringless heirloom pole bean found in a 1930s Ozark garden. Vines grow purple with pretty bi-colored flowers, and vivid purple pods hang easy to see for picking.
Sow 1 inch deep outdoors after last frost when soil is above 60°F, 3-4 inches apart for trellis or pole growth. Sprouts in 4-10 days at 70-85°F soil. One packet plants a 12-foot single row. Pick before seeds bulge, every 2-3 days.
