Description
Grandpa Otts is a legendary heirloom morning glory that originated in Bavaria and came to the United States with John Ott. Its vigorous annual vines reach 15 feet, producing exceptionally large deep-purple flowers with a red star.
Sow 1/4 inch deep after the last frost when soil is above 70°F, or start indoors three to four weeks early. Soaking the seeds overnight or chipping the seed coat can help germination. Give the vines full sun and support them on a trellis, fence or pole.
